About me

My name is Dawn McKim-Garcia and I have been a real estate agent for 23 years. I specialize in sales and leasing in the Lake South and surrounding areas of Austin. I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and attended the University of New Orleans.

After moving to Austin in the spring of 1994, I immediately fell in love with this beautiful city. It was the perfect fit for me and my daughter, as I had learned that the schools in this area are among the best. Once we were settled I made many new contacts and began working for one of Austin’s top real estate producers. While working for several years at one of Lakeway’s leading real estate offices, I became very knowledgeable with the real estate market so I decided to acquire my real estate license.

Newly licensed, I went to work for a property management company and was directly responsible for all rentals and sales. I quickly became one of the top rental agents in the Lake South area, leasing over 120 properties per year. As my knowledge of the area and business grew, so did my network of satisfied clients and friends. By developing and maintaining relationships with my clients, I am happy to welcome a great deal of repeat business.

After 7 years with the management company I wanted to further my career in real estate, and I am now with Coldwell Banker. This top-notch office has some of the top producers in Austin, and a wonderful group of agents that welcomed me to the team. I am proud to be part of such a dedicated team of associates who work together, and focus on client satisfaction above all.
