About Mary

Mary Lawlor taught middle school English in Room 103 for 27 years. She also coached cross country, volleyball, basketball, soccer, and played in the middle school band. She’s now bringing those diverse skills with her into the real estate industry: if Mary can inspire thousands of sixth graders toward a love of reading, prepare them for their first middle school slow dance, or learn to play the piano in her 50s and then perform on stage with 11-13 years olds, she can do just about anything!

Mary’s quirky personality and open heart has led her at every turn. She understands the curve balls the universe sends one’s way, and has purchased, remodeled, re-sold, and invested in Salt Lake City real estate for the past 30 years.

When many of Mary’s teacher colleagues traveled to far-off places during the summer months, Mary helped Dawn’s team with lawn work, furniture moving, home sprucing, and setting up open house signs - tasks that were on her honey-do list most weekends.

Mary’s passions include racing around with her family: her spouse and their four grown(ish), above-average kids in each of their pursuits as educator, nurse, future architect, and future social worker, reinforcing her belief that contributing to the positive juju is what matters most.

You’re likely to find Mary enjoying the stunning natural beauty and outdoor activities of Salt Lake City. Whether it's meandering around the backcountry on a ski tour, cruising waterways on a paddleboard, riding the trails on a mountain bike, playing pickleball, or hitting the par threes for a round of golf - she loves it all!

Her infectious energy and warm, friendly nature make her an absolute delight to work with. Mary, the youngest of seven, hails from Lincoln, Nebraska, where her family owned one of the oldest sporting goods stores in the US: Lawlor’s Custom Sportswear is still in operation today! She will always put your needs first and work tirelessly to understand what is most important to you. Plus, she has the loudest whistle in Utah.
