Howard Spunt

I began my career as a draftsman and soon transitioned into residential and commercial architecture, eventually founding a design-build firm focused on comprehensive solutions for shopping center owners. My journey into real estate investment began during this time and remains a passion to this day. In 2009 a transformative trip to Paris shifted my focus toward art, igniting a love for painting that led to opening an art gallery in Santa Monica. After several years in the art world, I felt the urge to return to design and construction. A visit to Japan with my son, Bryan, inspired me to explore hillside home designs, which culminated in purchasing a piece of land which burned in the Woolsey Fires and designing and building a unique home in Malibu that combined my architectural skills with my artistic sensibilities. I’m currently working on more residential project in Malibu.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am a proud father of two sons and cherish time spent surfing, painting, cooking, and traveling with my partner, Niago. I serve on the board of the Chase Foundation, supporting Child Life Programs at UCLA, Providence Cedars-Sinai, and Tarzana Medical Center. Additionally, as a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), I have served on numerous boards and enjoy mentoring young entrepreneurs and artists. My approach to life is guided by a passion for creativity and a commitment to living fully, one day at a time enjoying the journey.
