Sarasota’s Luxury Housing Market Sees Surge in Activity
Pettingell sets listing record of $47 million in October
SARASOTA, FL (December 5, 2017) – Roger Pettingell, the number one producing sales associate in the state of Florida with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate for the past seven years, ended October with a record $47.7 million in total listed properties just in the month of October. Pettingell listed a total of 16 luxury properties in four weeks.
To date, Pettingell has closed $77,625,000 in sales volume with a total of $19,740,000 in pending sales. In the final two months of the year, Pettingell is on track to reach $100 million in closed sales volume throughout 2017. He currently ranks as the number one producing sales associate in Sarasota County.
To close out October, Pettingell has already put 1505 Hillview Drive under contract, just two weeks after listing the $4,695,000 property. His listing at L’Ambiance on Longboat Key, priced at $4,995,000, has also gone under contract after just one week on the market.
Pettingell’s highest-priced listing for the month is an $8,400,000 property located at 891 Longboat Club Drive in Regent’s Court. Featuring over 130 feet of water frontage on the Gulf of Mexico, the desirable estate is tucked within the Longboat Key Club.
The properties are just a few of the many luxury homes fueling Sarasota’s high-end market.
“With a steady increase in luxury inventory, we’re also seeing many of these properties selling,” said Pettingell. “We saw a similar uptick in luxury activity in the spring, a more traditional selling time for luxury sales in Sarasota. I think that these early fall sales in the high end is a good harbinger for the 2018 season.”
