Derrick first visited the islands in the 80’s, where he found a deep connection with the ‘āina (land) and the Hawaiian culture. The Aloha spirt kept calling him back and after graduating High School in San Diego, Derrick moved to Oahu over thirty years ago. 

Shortly after arriving he started working for a local family business as a delivery driver. He would traveled all across the island daily, and because of this opportunity he learned a great detail about all of the various neighborhoods, the subtle differences between them and the unique subcultures that exist within them.

After over twenty five years of dedication to the design and building industries in Hawai’i it was a natural progression for Derrick to expand into Real Estate. Derrick spent most of those years with a focus in the kitchen and bath industry and has an extensive background in design and sales with hundreds of successful projects to his credit.

By honing his skills in listening and comprehending customers’ wants and needs, he has become an adept expert in assisting his clients discover the ideal balance for their aspirations. 

Drawing from his award winning design experience and extensive construction background Derrick is source of information that provides his clients with an undeniable advantage. He helps his clients makes sound decisions that are going to get them their sales price and their property sold in the shortest period possible. From advise on repairs that will produce the biggest returns to expert staging Derrick make it happen for his clients. 

Over the years he has seen the islands transform and change and uses this insight to help buyers locate the right property for them at the right price, offering invaluable insights into neighborhoods, schools and amenities.

In his spare time Derrick likes to spend quality time with family, make custom furniture, work on his classic truck and play golf.
