With a large bay at one end and small coves to explore all over it is a lake that is never boring. Whether you want to paddle, motor or sail from your 100' of shore frontage you will have a great time on the water. The lake is a haven for all sorts of wildlife. Bald eagles that nest nearby often fly right over the house and loons pass by with puffy loonlets riding on their backs. Not only is the cottage close to the water of the lake it is also close to the town of Damariscotta with all the bookshops, restaurants, galleries and stores you can want but it also the gateway to the rest of the Pemaquid Peninsula with its sand beaches, amazing conservation areas on the ocean and fantastic boating opportunities.
