Historic Thomas Law House on the Market for $2.5M

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (July 13, 2017) – A historic home, known as the Thomas Law House, has just listed for $2.5 million. The property was famously occupied by Thomas Law and Elizabeth Parke Custis, the granddaughter of Martha Washington.

Newlywed Law and Custis resided in the home for three months immediately after its construction while their own home was being built, giving the property the nickname, ‘The Honeymoon House’. The estate was later converted into a hotel during the Civil War, then transformed again into a hospital and medical clinic. The Thomas Law House was named to the National Register of Historic Places in the 1970s.
