Property directly adjoins thousands of acres of State and Federal lands on 2 sides, and connects to many miles of trails ideal for skiing, hiking, ATVing and snowmobiling. Located in a great hunting area! You can drive a vehicle to the property in the spring, summer, and fall. Road is a bit rugged, so a higher clearance vehicle is recommended. In the winter, the first 1.2 miles of the 2.5 mile access road is used as a designated snowmobile trail, so the best way to access the cabin in the winter is by snowmobile. The Farm Lake public access is located right across the paved road from the beginning of the access road so a vehicle can be parked there in the winter. Cabin is set up very nicely with an open kitchen, dining and living room, and an enclosed bathroom, all on the main floor, and a spiral staircase that goes up to the half loft sleeping area. The cabin is powered by a solar panel and a generator. There is a composting toilet in the bathroom and also an outhouse in the shed out back. There is no well or septic system, but the cabin is set up for very limited water use by using stored water inside that gravity flows to the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, and shower, which all flow to two 5 gallon buckets for dispersal. There is a large full length deck on the front of the cabin, and a large deck outside with a 13'x11' screened gazebo for enjoying the outdoors scenery, along with a nice fire pit area, and a wood shed. In back, is a shed that provides storage and also has an outhouse. The cabin has propane heat with 2 separate propane heaters. Current owners regularly use the cabin in the winter! This cabin would be an ideal Ely area getaway cabin.
