Joshua Alvarez

My name is Joshua Alvarez. I was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, and moved to Los Angeles in November 1970. For the next ten years, I continued traveling between LA and El Salvador until the civil war began, which led my family to relocate in April 1980 to Washington, D.C, and shortly after to Georgia in May of that same year.

I graduated high school here in Georgia and went on to study Civil Engineering at Southern Tech. After college, I began my career as a stockbroker with Chatfield & Dean and later transitioned into automotive sales with Curry Honda and several other dealerships.

Entrepreneurship was my next step. I owned an import/export company as well as a Jani‑King franchise. Eventually, I moved into health and life insurance, where I recognized a growing need for Spanish‑speaking professionals in Georgia’s real estate market.

I obtained my real estate license in July 2000 and have been serving clients ever since. Coming from a stockbroker background, I realized early on that the most meaningful and impactful investment a family can make isn’t in the markets, it’s in a home. That belief has kept me committed to this industry for over two decades.
