The quintessential Tribeca loft awaits you at 165 Duane Street. Situated across from New York's second oldest public park and facing the historic Staple Street alley you would be pressed to find a better location in downtown Manhattan. A vast open living and dining room retains the historic character of its prewar industrial past as a coconut processing plant built in 1881. Massive timber beams with cast iron columns, exposed brick walls, high ceiling, newly refinished oak floors are the hallmarks of a downtown loft and here you find it in abundance. An expansive open chef's kitchen with Bertazonni range faces the living area flanked by an enclosed laundry room. The primary bedroom has ample closet space and faces the very quiet Staple Street alley. Two wonderfully appointed bathrooms and a large internal bedroom round out this unique and grand loft. 165 Duane has a beautiful common roof deck, bike/owner storage, key locked elevator and full time super. Designed by renowned architect Stephen Decatur Hatch in 1881, 165 Duane is now on the historic register of buildings.
