Personal Background
Steve has lived in Ohio since his joining the University of Cincinnati as a faculty member and clinician in 1970. He was raised in New York City until moving to New England where he attended college and graduate schools. His professional career as a Psychologist has been broad in its scope of clinical, academic, and consulting activities over the past 40 years. Over that period of time, his enduring interest in real estate has grown into a variety of areas of specialized applications of his education and experiences in the field of applied psychology. These have included negotiation techniques, mediation and conflict resolution, and consulting activities.
Steve has also been actively involved in the business of real estate through his investing in residential and commercial joint ventures. His experience in these areas have included real estate development, condominium governance, property maintenance, and homeowner association advocacy involving the City of Cincinnati such as rezoning and property rights issues. He has served on homeowner association boards for the past 15 years in the position of HOA President. His "hands on" approach in these activities has been instrumental in the successes he has accomplished on behalf of his constituents.
Business Philosophy
It is Steve's philosophy that real estate professionals are engaged every day in relationship-building activities with their customers and clients. Every transaction in their career involves dealing with interpersonal relationships. The business of real estate is not simply a matter of "real property." It is also the business of "relationships" in a variety of circumstances. Successful transactions require interpersonal skills that can be learned from associates who can "coach" them to be better informed in basic behavioral psychology applied to building relationships with buyers and sellers for whom they conduct real estate transactions.
