So what characteristics are people looking for in a Realtor? First and foremost, I think it's important to find someone who has knowledge of the area you're looking to buy or sell in. Having lived and worked in Berks County and the surrounding counties for 45 years, I bring an extensive knowledge of the neighborhoods and communities that this area has to offer. This enables me to help clients narrow their search more quickly and eliminates the guesswork about what it's really like living in a neighborhood. I have also been active in many community organizations, and have developed a network of experts to refer clients to, that deal with just about every aspect of home ownership.

A second important skill in a Realtor is the ability to expertly market a property. My degree in Marketing, along with years of experience in marketing everything from financial services to bank products, has given my a unique perspective in what works and doesn't work in marketing a home. By understanding what motivates people, I can help clients focus on advertising their home where they will be the most effective.

Another tool people are looking for is an ability to help them navigate the often complicated and confusing world of financing their homes. Having spent 15 years as a Loan officer and consumer lender with three banks, I have the expertise to explain the paperwork to clients to help them better understand the process. This helps them to feel more relaxed about their transaction and to have confidence someone knowledgeable is in their corner.

Finally, I think buyers and sellers want a Realtor who goes the extra mile and listens to their questions and concerns. My 25 years of customer service experience has taught me one extremely important lesson-treat people how you would want to be treated. Making a clients's home buying or selling experience enjoyable is my ultimate goal!
