Own a part of Graniteville's history - Hickman Hall - listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1907 by H.H. Hickman, the second president of the Graniteville Manufacturing Company, originally as a community center for its employees. The goal was to provide employees with access to a number of amenities including a pool, bowling alley, library and dance hall ''for the pleasure of all the people'', as the plaque on the facade immortalizes. This approx. 12,000 SF, three-story Classical Revival building was renovated in 2016 and subsequently awarded the 2017 SC Historic Preservation Honor Award and the 2017 Historic Aiken Foundation - Preservation Award for Commercial Properties. The ground floor contains two large reception/waiting areas, five offices, two large/open offices/conference rooms, two individual ADA bathrooms, galley kitchen, ample storage and janitorial closets, all temperature controlled by split HVAC units. The second floor is mainly a large open plan with beautiful hardwood floors, high ceilings and wonderful light filled rooms. There are power outlets in the floors to allow for desks and workstations.
