More about Jenny Mahan

Jenny Mahan admits that she came from good stock. Her mother worked as a nurse. Her father was an educator--a teacher, author, and historian. They instilled in Jenny a genuine compassion and a desire to help others.
Jenny met her future husband, Jesse, in High School. They were just friends then, and after graduation their lives took off in different directions. However they later reconnected, and a romance developed that would lead them to the altar. And each of them introduced a new member into their family: Jesse’s daughter and Jenny’s son.
Jesse enlisted in the Navy, and the family was stationed in San Diego for several years. Their son was born there. They were quartered in a townhouse on the base, and Jenny transformed it into a home. Other military personnel enjoyed the warm, family atmosphere, and they virtually adopted the Mahan residence as their own haven away from home. They would become life-long friends and members of Jenny’s extended family. Some of the burly marines even helped change diapers.
When Jenny and Jesse returned to Texas, they settled in Round Rock. Jesse attended Texas State University in San Marcos, where he graduated magna cum laud. Then he started his own company, Mahan Home and Commercial Services LLC.
During that period Jenny's oldest son began displaying amazing skills at baseball. Jenny became a full-fledged baseball mom, supporting him at every game, and leading their team parents in overly enthusiastic cheers. The families of the players bonded, and Jenny’s extended family grew.
Jenny wanted a home with more land. Driving around one day, she found the perfect spot, some acreage on a gentle slope just north of Georgetown. All that the property needed was a house and a few more trees. Jenny and Jesse bought the land, planted the trees, and then worked on the house. Jesse did much of the construction himself. Jenny helped, staining the floor, pulling cable, and laying tile. The inside of the house was primarily Jenny’s responsibility. Interior design was a hobby of hers, and she enjoyed applying her skills and knowledge to decorate the inside of the house.
Jenny and Jesse named their property Mahan Acres. The addition of livestock made it a farm. They started with cattle and chickens. (Jenny loves having fresh eggs for breakfast every morning.) Often Jesse’s job required that he leave the house before sunup and not return until after dark. That left Jenny the responsibility of taking care of the animals. And that meant more than just feeding them.
On one occasion their large, black Angus bull, Bo, pushed through the fence and wandered nearly a mile down the road. Jesse was off working. The boys were at school. Jenny grabbed a bucket of feed and went after him. Someone had called the Sheriff’s Department, and they dispatched a car to help corral the bull. However by the time the deputy arrived, Jenny already had things under control. The big bull was complacently following the young blonde housewife down the road all the way back to Mahan Acres.
Jesse’s construction job afforded Jenny more opportunities to pursue her hobby of interior design. Jesse was hired to do a remodeling job for a catholic church. Jenny accompanied him, met with the priest, and conceived the new interior design.
The occasions when she worked with her husband provided Jenny with a fabulous hands on education about house construction. She became knowledgeable about much more than just the interior design. Friends and family came to visit Mahan Acres, and some were looking for a new residence in that area. Jenny enjoyed driving them around to look at model homes and houses for sale. And she was able to share her extensive knowledge regarding the houses they visited. Everyone advised her to go into real estate.
So she did.
Jenny got her real estate license in May 2016. Now she is happy to help out anyone looking to buy or sell a house, farm, or ranch. Let Jenny help you!
