COLDWELL BANKER RESIDENTIAL BROKERAGE NAMES CHAVES REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENT OF BOSTON METRO REGION
Waltham, Mass. (March 9, 2016) – Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England is pleased to announce that Philip Chaves has been promoted to regional vice president of the company’s Boston Metro region. Reporting to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage President Merit McIntyre, Chaves will be responsible for the oversight and productivity of the company’s 15 sales offices in Boston, Brookline, Cambridge, Newton, Wellesley, Weston and the surrounding communities.
Prior to his new role, Chaves served as co-manager of the two Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.
“Phil is an effective leader and has been successful in motivating sales professionals and boosting the productivity of offices that he has managed. He understands the needs of our clients, as well as our affiliated sales agents. I am pleased that Phil has accepted this new role, and I’m very confident that he will work hard to build on the success of the Boston metro region,” said McIntyre.
Chaves began his real estate career in 2001 as an affiliated real estate professional with the Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Arlington. He joined the company’s management team in 2010. Under his direct leadership, the Belmont office was recognized among the top-performing offices nationwide in the NRT network. NRT, the national largest residential real estate brokerage, is the parent company of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Two years later, Chaves was also tapped to manage the Arlington office.

Prior to his real estate career, Chaves was a small business owner for 15 years. He earned a master’s in business administration from Bentley College. A resident of Arlington, Chaves is an active member of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the company’s charitable foundation, and has been a volunteer and supporter of Pine Street Inn, The Home for Little Wanderers, Homes for Our Troops, Community Servings and Lucy’s Love Bus. Additionally, Chaves co-founded the Joe and Dorothy Chaves Foundation, which raises money to support the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers, citizenship classes and local Portuguese community organizations. Chaves is a member of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors® and the Greater Boston Association of Realtors®.
