More About Me

Ioanna was born and raised in the Gaslight Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati, where she now lives with her son, Hugo. She grew up loving Cincinnati and found that she missed Cincinnati's historic architecture, tight-knit communities, walkable neighborhoods, and vibrant art scene while she was away working and studying in New York City, Washington, D.C., and Belgium. Introducing newcomers to the Queen City and supporting current residents in finding their ideal home here is her passion. 

When she returned to Cincinnati in 2016, Ioanna was honored to serve the city as Vice Mayor David Mann's Chief of Staff for three and a half years. During that time, she got to know all of our neighborhoods and the importance of thoughtful community and economic development to maintaining and growing our City in a balanced way. In 2019, she co-founded the nonprofit Action Tank to provide free policy research and technical assistance to residents, especially community and neighborhood groups, advocating on behalf of their neighbors. From 2010 - 2016, she worked at the U.S. Department of State, where she was the Senior Human Rights and Congressional Affairs Officer for the Middle East Bureau. She also served as the Bureau coordinator for the UN General Assembly. Ioanna has a B.A. in Philosophy from Columbia University and a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University.
