PATTI TAHAN HONORED WITH COLDWELL BANKER RESIDENTIAL BROKERAGE MICHAEL SCOTT LEADERSHIP AWARD

WAYNE, N.J. – (Feb. 3, 2017) – Patti Tahan, a Wayne resident of over 45 years and branch vice president of the Wayne office of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., was recently honored by the real estate company with its third annual Michael Scott Leadership Award. Tahan manages approximately 100 affiliated sales associates representing home buyers and sellers in Bergen, Essex, Morris and Passaic counties.

Tahan was recognized at a special event at the Park Savoy Estate in Florham Park. The award was presented by Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., and Maureen Passerini, executive vice president of the Northeast and Eastern Seaboard Regions of NRT LLC. Two of Tahan’s daughters, Claudine and Renee Tahan, surprised their mother with a bouquet of flowers.

The Michael Scott Leadership Award was established to celebrate the life and achievements of Michael Scott, who was a greatly admired and respected office manager for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. For 14 years, Scott led the company’s top-ranked Westfield East office.

“Patti maintains the same qualities and values that made Michael Scott such a great manager,” said Maxwell. “She understands the importance of community, both within the office and as part of the areas we serve. Her generosity is great, volunteering for numerous charitable and professional organizations, and leading the Wayne office in efforts to give back throughout the entire year. She listens closely to the needs of agents, and strives to help them surpass their business goals and provide exceptional service to their clients. I was truly honored to present Patti with this award.”

Tahan has 40 years of award-winning real estate experience, including over three decades of management. She has earned her real estate broker’s license in both New Jersey and Florida, and is also a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina. Tahan’s long history of professional honors include the Wayne office’s receipt of the Coldwell Banker Premier Office Award under her leadership; the NRT President’s Council for Managers Award; and the New Jersey Realtors Quarter Century Club, among many others.

Tahan has four children: Claudine, Charles, Patti Ann and Renee, plus five grandchildren.

She places a high importance on giving back to the community. The Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage office in Wayne has instituted two annual high school scholarships, annual Thanksgiving and holiday food drives for local families, a food collection for the Wayne Interfaith Network Food Pantry, and much more.

Tahan is personally involved with Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross blood drives, the Passaic County Historical Society and Make-A-Wish Foundation.  She has served as director of the Wayne Alliance and Wayne Counseling and Family Services, and trustee of the Wayne Adult Community Center. For 15 years, she worked on the board of the Wayne Day Committee.

She also serves as federal political coordinator for the National Association of Realtors, New Jersey Realtors district coordinator, member of the Wayne Economic and Development Committee, and director of the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce.
