Big Boy House Lists in Ocean City for $3.5M
OCEAN CITY, MD (July 6, 2017) – An eclectic waterfront home in Ocean City, nicknamed the 'Big Boy' house, has just listed for $3.499 million. The property gets its name from the full-sized Big Boy diner statue in the home's dining room. Custom-built for the home’s original owner, the unique designs are still present all throughout the residence. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Jamie Caine has the listing at 4201 Atlantic Avenue.
"Everything about this house is unique and full of character," said Caine. “Luckily, subsequent owners have embraced the home’s eclectic design and have preserved the style over the years.”
Architect David Parker oversaw the construction of the home in 2000 when the 5,910-square-foot beach house came to life. Known for his unique homes, Parker designed the residence according to the original owner’s exact specifications, a style embraced by its current owner. In addition to the Big Boy statue, the home also includes an exterior swinging bridge, glass elevator, diner-style booth and direct views of the Atlantic Ocean.
Additional property details include:
- Six bedrooms, five bathrooms and a two-car garage
- Diner-style kitchen with gas range stove, double refrigerator and oversized island
- Top floor master suite with soaking tub and views of the water
- Break-away walls
