COLDWELL BANKER RESIDENTIAL BROKERAGE CARES SPIRIT OF HOME CELEBRATION RAISES OVER $125,000 TO BENEFIT COMMUNITY SERVINGS
WALTHAM, MA (March 28, 2018) - Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is pleased to announce that its 2018 Spirit of Home celebration raised over $125,000 to benefit Community Servings.
Community Servings is a nonprofit food and nutrition program that provides made-from-scratch, medically-tailored meals to individuals and families living with critical and chronic illnesses in cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. In addition to providing home-delivered meals, Community Servings offers nutrition education classes for the nutritionally vulnerable and food service job training for individuals who face barriers to employment.
"We are proud of this year’s Spirit of Home’s success and thankful for everyone who participated,” said Merit McIntyre, president, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New England. “Coldwell Banker truly values the importance and reward in giving back to our communities and we celebrate the impact organizations like Community Servings add to our community members in their times of need.
Spirit of Home’s success was driven through the generosity of Coldwell Banker affiliated agents, employees, volunteers, community members and friends and businesses across New England. Spirit of Home was held at The Four Seasons Hotel – Boston on March 5, 2018.
The funds raised will go to Community Servings’ capital campaign as they plan to increase their operating space with the goal to expand access to those receive their services.
“The Food is the Foundation Campaign will allow us to expand our kitchen’s capacity to provide more of our medically tailored meals and nutrition services for individuals and families in need,” said David B. Waters, CEO of Community Servings. “We are so grateful to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s commitment to our mission and for this generous investment in our work.”
